Deborah Meadows created a series of four lithographs entitled After Mingus' "Better Get Hit in Your Soul." The four lithographs are non-representative writing in response, or written along with Mingus' masterpiece "Better Git it In your Soul." They are each 8x11 and were printed as a collaboration of poet Deborah Meadows and the late master printmaker Patrick Merrill. A "stacked" set of these pages form the cover art of Meadows' recent collection of poetry, Saccade Patterns.
