Saturday, May 10th (3 p.m.) Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts 540 S. Lake St. Gary, IN 46403 free and open to the public "Get Calumetized" is a multimedia exploration of the Calumet region that includes music, visual art, movement and spoken word. An ensemble will creatively investigate interconnected themes that include nature, humanity, industry, witness. Ensemble members include Eliel Sherman Storey (saxophone), Angel Elmore (clarinet), Corey Hagelberg (poetry / printmaking), members of ARISE Youth (spoken word), Adam Zanolini (flute, alto saxophone), Dan Godston (trumpet), and Lou Ciccotelli (drums). "Get Calumetized" also includes projections of Notes for a People's Atlas of Gary as well as artworks by Alice Nebelsiek, Jesus A. Gonzalez, and Corey Hagelberg.
